Airtel has launced its 3G service on day before yesterday.
To Activate Airtel 3G in 3G enabled mobile just Send an SMS as 3G to 121.
You will be asked for confirmation to activate Airtel 3G.just give confirmation message to them.
Now the pay as you go plan will be Activated (30p/20KB) on your Mobile Number as default.
Personally my friend Mr.Prad has Tested the Speed of Airtel 3G on his mobile phone in Mumbai.He said”The Airtel 3G signal Coverage is Not good in his circle but 3G speed is Good.The screenshot has taken with the Access Point of airtelwap.com it is an APN of NOP.Since he used airtelwap.com for unlimited usage.But Airtel has banned Airtel NOP on most of the Sates still working for some customers.Thanks a Lot to Him for providing this Screenshot!
